Certified Personal Fitness Coach:

Fit For Good – Virtual Position | $18 – $22/hr – Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Transformation Coaches, operating as Independent Contractors, assist Fit For Good by providing customized fitness programs to our members while educating and guiding them on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, and attaining a healthier lifestyle. Transformation Coaches will motivate, educate, and hold Clients accountable while working towards their fitness goals. In exchange, Fit For Good markets to existing and potential clients for the benefit of Transformation Coaches and provides software to assist Clients and Transformation Coach in meeting Client’s personal fitness goals.

By definition, a personal trainer is a fitness professional possessing the knowledge, skills and abilities for safe and effective exercise and fitness program design, instruction and assistance for the purpose of reaching personal health and fitness goals. This career path has a much higher profile than ever before, and our program allows Transformation Coaches to further develop their skills and achieve professional growth.

TRANSFORMATION COACH GOALS:

  • Provide excellent member service
  • Motivate others to improve their overall fitness and health
  • Help members reach their health and fitness goals through proper cardiovascular, flexibility and resistance exercise, including heart rate training and measurement
  • Demonstrate your knowledge of anatomy, functional exercise, basic nutrition, and basic exercise science
  • Evaluates client assessments according to Company protocol
  • Execute individual fitness program design tailored to the needs of each member’s goals
  • Coach clients on general nutrition guidelines and inspire members to actively engage in tracking nutrition and/or meals
  • Create team challenges to drive engagement, healthy member competition, and increased donations to DonorChoose.org
  • Communicate with members and actively manage clients
  • Educate members on current health, fitness, and nutrition issues and trends
  • Maintain accurate and current member files
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and engage in continued training to optimize coaching methods

TRANSFORMATION COACH ASSETS:

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Current Nationally Recognized Personal Trainer Certification (NASM Cooper Institute, ACSM NFPT, ACE CSCS, NPTI NSCA, ISSA PTA Global, AFAA NEST, NCFS RTS Resistance Training Specialist)
  • Proof of personal liability insurance coverage
  • Ability to contract with Fit for Good to provide services through a business entity
  • Access to computer and mobile device
  • Designated workspace free of distractions to protect member privacy and ensure quality management of any 1-on-1 session with a client (video and/or phone)
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, spoken, and on camera presentation
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with technology and various software programs
  • Excellent typing, multitasking and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain focus and a positive attitude in all situations
  • Self-discipline in a telecommuting environment
  • Dedicated to maintaining personal integrity and personal health and fitness
  • Availability and desire to provide services to Fit for Good clients for up to 20-35 hours per week
